News:
My photographer's gone missing, so I had to attempt things myself. Please forgive the sorry portrayals, everyone's had a few terrible pictures taken and I'm sure the masks would appreciate being seen for what they are.
I've got a few woodland masks just in time for spring - everything is flowering here, I've counted seven species of blooms. I also have three other masks almost ready, so some good stuff should be online toward the end of the week.
I've been sleeping 13 hours at a stretch following school weeks, so my break will be divided between working on two websites, masks, mask photography, and becoming reacquainted with my pillow and sheets.
Speaking of my website, it's in the works. I've got the main mask gallery, and then a separate section for stuff I've done that's more likely to be personal - pages for the rare bit of 2D art I can almost be proud of or a poem here and there (I used to write brilliant narrative poetry... in the fourth grade. I wonder what happened?)
As usual, if I haven't replied to your comments, I promise I'm not ignoring you. I just need a little time to catch up.
Soon to come:
- A Red Fox - nearly completely painted
- A Bauta, my variation on a traditional Venetian style (complete)
- A Wood Fae, detailing in progress
- A couple of Columbinas or Dominoes, or whatever strikes me while I've got free time
About the Masks:
Generally speaking, the masks are painted formed leather, usually in a single layer. They're hand-sculpted with no mold, and occasionally surface carving or tooling is employed. They are lined in suede and unvarnished on the inner face to preserve the natural breathing quality of the leather for comfort. The outer face is painted and water-resistant. By virtue of the quality of materials, they tend to be reasonably durable, gently flexible, and very lightweight.
Commission Information:
If you like any of the masks in my gallery or would like a custom mask, please feel free to ask. All sales are by commission - very rarely do I have extra masks laying around for sale, because if they aren't created with an owner in mind I tend to get too attached, and because I have precious little spare time. (The good news is it means more versatility in what you can request.) My availability for commission varies tremendously because I have a full-time life entirely outside of artwork - 80% of the year I am cramming any art I do into a 27-hour-a-day schedule. However, I am open for inquiry at any time. If you are a dA member, you can write me a note; otherwise, you can contact me through my website, whatever you feel comfortable with.

My apologies, friends.
News:
Life's in a transition space and I've been in a touch of a slump, between not being able to work when I'd like to (such as now) and not feeling up to working when I can (the last couple of months.)
But things are on the upswing, I believe; I've been not formally studying for the longest period in the last seventeen years of my life (doesn't that seem like it should be remarkable, even though it's not?) and my brain's begun actively striving for material again. I'm going to have an entire, lovely page of beautiful essays I've read in the last few months to post at my website before long - and I'm looking forward to updating that too.

News:
Hi, everybody! I'm posting and such, all of a sudden, and as usual that means that I'm about to go flat-out missing again. This time, it's another out-of-continent experience - six weeks in Taiwan. I should have somewhat more reliable internet access and considerably more spare time, as I won't be attending classes - I'm there to practice speaking, and reading traditional characters - but hopefully I won't be on the internet too much, except to upload photos and blog.
I'll be posting some photos and such at Flickr and blogging, probably at my Yahoo page as Livejournal is not always family-friendly. Too bad Yahoo's new interface has ex

News:
Man. School and life have eaten me. I'm also realizing I've experienced a considerable dry spell - the first since I began leatherwork, actually - but there's enough stirring that I'm not worried. The dry spell hasn't been nearly so bad as my dA gallery would have it and hopefully there'll be a blitz of work, both new and old, to post before long - if for no other reason than knowing I won't have time after this semester ends, and I have to go out into the wide world and find a job.
I've been sick, lately, and with the forced downtime and absolute beyond-question inability to do proper homework or study I've been doodling more than us

News:
I'm back from China, and about as burnt out as I've ever been in my life. I had five days - count 'em - between my final at Fudan University and the beginning of my fall term at my home school. That includes the day I spent travelling - the two-hour taxi to the airport in Shanghai, the fourteen-odd hour flight to the States, the three-hour flight back to my city, and the blissfully brief ride to a bed on which I could collapse - at past midnight - only to attend class promptly at 9:55 the next morning.
It really hasn't felt all too much less pressed since. I've finally gone through all my photos, on the upside; on the other hand I've
